Her work-related experience as a corporate accountant has allowed her to interact with other financial professionals such as CPAs, CFOs, auditors, board members, analysts, and other decision makers to enable her to share these financial strategies with everyday people. 

 Her skillset includes: tax strategy, cash flow management, financial strategies, and credit building. She holds a B.S in Accounting from Florida A&M University’s School of Business and Industry with a decade of combined formal and work-related experience.

On this episode of BOI MEETS WELLNESS, Evolve sits down with financial advisor Dominique Brown. Dominique Brown is the owner of the YFS Academy and YourFinancesSimplified and he helps individuals and small businesses overcome their financial roadblocks to financial freedom. Evolve shares their practice with setting targeted goals for their finances and an affirmation of the week. Dominique’s motto “Finances can be fun!” stands for his long-held conviction that becoming rich is a lifestyle choice that one has to learn to enjoy. Just like living with a healthier diet and exercise is difficult, but rewarding, improving your financial lifestyle can be just as fun in a productive and fulfilling way. Dominique personally supported our host Evolve Benton with bringing their lower 500 credit score to the 700 club. On this episode of BOI MEETS WELLNESS, Evolve sits down with creative producer and hustler Sir Lex Kennedy. Evolve shares a money mantra to shift you from thinking of lack to engaging abundance. Evolve and Lex Kennedy are friends and business partners who created the amazing film, the BOI DOC. Learn more about the film here.  Sir Lex Kennedy is a vegan, queer transmedia content creator who loves karaoke, music, plants and the beach. 

Sir Lex studied Comparative Women's Studies and Film at Spelman College in Atlanta, GA, before being forced to leave and finished his studies at the Los Angeles City College in their film program. As an artist and activist, Sir Lex strives to bring marginalized stories to the center of popular culture. Sir Lex has directed multiple short films, music videos and brand promos featured in film festivals like, Outfest, through their inaugural OutSet program and across the world, winning numerous awards. Sir Lex is currently working as Development Content Coordinator for ABC7/Disney in Los Angeles, CA.
